My Bio:
Named North West PR Professional of the Year 2006 by the CIPR, Sandy started her marketing career 19 years ago, moved into PR consultancy five years later and launched her own PR consultancy in 2002, which was named NW PR Consultancy of the Year 2008.

Sandy specialises in helping companies prepare for and handle crises and, during her career, has promoted and protected some of the world’s leading brands.

Sandy is NW Ambassador for Senior Marketers for the Chartered Institute of Marketing, sits on Scope’s North West advisory board and is also called upon to support regional creative industries initiatives.
What I do best:
I speak on a wide variety of subjects but most especially enjoy talking about crisis/issues management (handling the media in a crisis) and how PR can help grow any type of business.

Some notes on how I charge for my services:
My fee very much depends on the audience. Clearly if there's a benefit to the business, I would consider a free delivery (with expenses covered.) Generally, my day rate is £1,200.

Sandy, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.

With more than 1,700 members, SpeakerSite is the largest open social network for public speakers and event planners. Our substantial continuing growth is good for all of us. The more speakers and event planners we have, the more opportunities for connecting more speakers with more audiences.

So, I’m wondering: How did you hear about SpeakerSite? Please send me a message.

Anyway, it’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word. Here are links to two pages that can help:

1. How to Make the Most of Your SpeakerSite Profile.

2. How to Spread the Word About SpeakerSite.

Also, you might need to finetune how much email you get from SpeakerSite. It takes a little work. Here is some advice on the issue.

Feel free to join (or start) Groups -- or put any question in the Forum area. (Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.) And feel free to contact me or Rob Emrich. As the co-founders of SpeakerSite, we are here for you.

May 2009 bring you only happiness!

Thanks!

Welcome aboard Sandy; I'm glad you're able to join us. Speakersite is growing fast - about 25% in the 10 days or so that I've been signed up. You might like to join the group "UK Speakers".

Kindest regards
Christine

Hi Sandy,

Welcome to this great new site. I hope it works well for you.

My Cheatham ancestors came from Manchester. I've been to the UK many times, but have never gotten to Manchester.

You may note from my photo that I often speak as historical characters, often as Pocahontas' husband, John Rolfe, who saved the English colony that evolved into the USA and from whom I am directly descended. It was 400 years ago this year that he left England for Virginia.

Best wishes,

Dick
