My Bio:
After founding the Professional Speakers Association in the UK 10 years ago, Rikki Arundel then became the worlds first openly transgender professional speaker.
Since taking that courageous step of coming out as a trans woman, she has faced enormous discrimination and resistance, but has persisted to develop a successful social enterprise. GenderShift has a mission to help create a fairer world in which every persons gender, gender identity and gender expression is accepted and respected.
Rikki now works with public sector organisations throughout the UK, and especially in Yorkshire, helping them to meet the demands of the Gender Equality Duty and prevent harassment and discrimination due to atypical gender. Her entertaining, and humorous insight into gender, transgender and sexual orientation issues changes attitudes.
Having lived both as a man and a woman has also given Rikki an unusual insight and resulted in a hugely entertaining insight into gender differences.
What I do best:
Whether it's an entertaining, but content filled, keynote, or a half day or full day workshop, Rikki changes attitudes. With 30 years of experience as a professional speaker, Rikki speaks from experience - taking her audiences on a journey of discovery.
Hello, I'm Bert Martinez, welcome to Speakersite. I'm looking to network with success minded people. I look forward to networking with you and if there is anything that I can help you with please do not hesitate to contact me.
When you aren't speaking you could be charging for half hour or full hour chats. There are so many people with so many questions! The perspectives on life that you must have!
I work in the HR arena with people always looking for diversity speakers. Do you do any work here in the colonies?
Dear Rikki,
I would like to invite you to connect on the SpeakerSite. Please let me know if there is eny way I may be of assistance from the other side of the pond.
With best regards,
Mike
Hi Rikki, it's good to see you on board. Note that I have set up an interest group, "LGBT Inspiration" as a potential one stop shop for everyone who is expert at speaking on LGBT-related topics.
Hi Rikki, I am stopping by to introduce myself and invite you to connect on SpeakerSite.
Networking is a big part of what I do, so by all means feel free to stop by if I can be of any assistance.
I was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire and immigrated to Australia with my family when I was eight years of age.
A couple of friends of mine live as a woman, in fact one of them is one of our original Les Girls. Aeysha is incredibly beautiful, commanding attention wherever she goes. She has lived all her life, and still lives in Kings Cross
Warm greetings from Sydney, Australia Rikki and all the best with your SpeakerSite journey.
Rikki, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.
After only six weeks, we have 1,500+ members. That's good for all of us. The more speakers we have, the more event planners we’ll attract – the more opportunities for connecting more speakers with more audiences.
So, I’m wondering: How did you hear about SpeakerSite? Please send me a message.
Anyway, it’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word. Here are links to two pages that can help:
Also, you might need to finetune how much email you get from SpeakerSite. It takes a little work. Here is some advice on the issue.
Feel free to join (or start) Groups -- or put any question in the Forum area. (Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.) And feel free to contact me or Rob Emrich. We are here for you.
