As a Brand Manager and Marketing Consultant she managed over $1.4 Billion in sales for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500. After traveling the country and speaking to 10’s of thousands of students she decided the time was now to put her corporate background to use, sow seeds into the future, and teach students how to add “,Inc.” to their names and get branded for success.
In addition to pursuing her passion for empowering the next generation, she is a member of the Houston Interactive Marketing Association, a proud speaker for Monster Worldwide’s Making It Count and Diversity Leadership programs, and Founder of the “MIC Speakers Meeting Spot” a social networking site dedicated to Making It Count speakers, aspiring MIC speakers and their supporters. http://micspeakers.ning.com

- I've accomplished a lot in my career, a lot of success and quite frankly many failures. The greatest thing about it all is that I found my ultimate passion - the thing that makes me tick and want to stay up all night and get up early if I have to in order to get it done. That's the difference between following your passion versus following a title or particular job because of the size of the paycheck. If you follow your passion, the paycheck will soon come. Trust me!
My life formula is: Your Passion x a Purpose + a Platform = POWER!
--Your Passion is the one thing you love to do so much, you'll sacrifice whatever you have to in order to get it.
--Your Purpose is your "Why" or reason for doing it. It's your motivation.
--Your Platform is the tool to help you get it.
Once you've figured out your life formula you'll be well on your way to success. When I meet people during my travels and they ask me "Porshea what's the key to success?" "What's that one thing to get me to that next level?"
My first answer is very simple: Read. Reading can make the biggest difference in your level success. I'm not talking about reading love stories and all that other fictional stuff either. I'm talking about books of substance that are motivational and can be realistically applied. Find out who is the most successful person in your field of passion, and see if they have a book, website, ezine, anything....and plug into it. Every successful person loves to tell their story (look at me) so read about them and your industry.
My other answer is pretty simple too (if you let it be). If you want to change the fruits of your labor, then you must change the roots. The only reason why you haven't stepped into your full potential (fruit) is because YOU haven't made the decision to do so (root). It's all mental.

Small Town Big Dreams - The Story of PorsheaRae
July 30, 1981 the day a vibrant, strong, and beautiful little girl was born, full of life, character, and personality; her name, “Porshea Cne’ Mitchell”.
