What is your Social Media strategy?

I guess that you wouldn't be reading this unless you had bought into social media as a marketing and communication tool for speakers. But do you have a strategy for how you use the technology?

Is it 'blog and hope' or do you have a plan?

How to make your speaker marketing more effective during tougher times

Marketing is going to be more important than ever for speakers in 2009, so it’s important that you get it right. Here are my top six suggestions to adjust your marketing to make it more relevant and effective during tougher economic times:

1. Work even harder in 2009 to differentiate your proposition. Are you just another speaker, or are you really different from the competition?

2. What are you doing to enable people to experience the real, authentic you? Is your speaker imagContinue

Philip, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.

After only six weeks, we have 1,400+ members. That's good for all of us. The more speakers we have, the more event planners we’ll attract – the more opportunities for connecting more speakers with more audiences.

So, I’m wondering: How did you hear about SpeakerSite? Please send me a message.

Anyway, it’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word. Here are links to two pages that can help:

1. How to Make the Most of Your SpeakerSite Profile.

2. How to Spread the Word About SpeakerSite.

Also, you might need to finetune how much email you get from SpeakerSite. It takes a little work. Here is some advice on the issue.

Feel free to join (or start) more Groups -- or put any question in the Forum area. (Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.) And feel free to contact me or Rob Emrich. We are here for you.

May 2009 bring you only happiness!

Thanks!

Warm greetings from Sydney, Australia Philip.

I note it's less common Philip with only one 'L' and the name means 'lover of horses' I knew a Philip who actually lived up to his name, and indeed loved and rode horses.

I am stopping by to introduce myself and invite you to connect on SpeakerSite.

You will find this a worthwhile forum for business, indeed I have made a variety of worthwhile contacts, and even secured a couple of tangible business opportunities.

May you find the same on SpeakerStie.
