There is a dividing line that separates leaders from no-compromise leaders. On one side, “leader” is something that describes a title or job. It’s simply the work you do. This leader says, “I lead.” On the other side of the dividing line is an inhe…

My Bio:
Neil Ducoff has epitomized the “No-Compromise” mantra throughout his career as a business trainer, keynote speaker and author, as he’s coached business leaders and entrepreneurs to achieve the highest levels of success and profitability, while creating a positive, rewarding workplace. But as economic conditions have become increasingly more challenging, this champion of compassionate, get-it-done leadership has modeled how running a business based on “No-Compromise Leadership” truly makes the difference between championing an authentic, profitable and meaningful business that matters to its customers and its team and simply closing the doors.

As the founder and CEO of Strategies, a business training and coaching company, this visionary is lauded as the guru of Team-Based Pay, the core principle at the heart of his turnaround strategies and innovative growth solutions that banish complacency and the status quo to truly make the difference between success and failure for modern business leaders. Ensconced in the trenches with fellow entrepreneurs, he issues the wake-up call and charts the path that will show business leaders how to grow sales and profitability, turn customers into raving fans and ensure employees are fully engaged and highly evangelistic, setting the tone for cultural transformation, changing paradigms and the standard for success in a changing world.

In addition to dedicating almost 40 years to coaching leaders at great companies, like Gillette, Aveda and Matrix, Ducoff has been a featured speaker at the annual National Gathering of Games conference, presented by Jack Stack’s The Great Game of Business, over the past five years. Ducoff was honored as a “business icon” at the annual Serious Business: Legends & Icons conference in 2006 and was the recipient of the 2005 Art of Business Award. He is also the author of Fast Forward, the definitive business and leadership resource guide for the salon, spa and resort spa industries.

Ducoff is the author of No-Compromise Leadership: A Higher Standard of Leadership Thinking & Behavior — the definitive book on get-it-done leadership and dynamic business cultures.

Ducoff lives in Centerbrook, CT, with his wife, Joanne.

What I do best:
AS A SPEAKER: My role is to add high value to your event by delivering a compelling Keynote to stir emotions and create a memorable experience. Yes, I make them laugh. Yes, I am engaging on personal level. No...I am not a high maintenance speaker. My role is to support - not create stress for event organizers. That's what a no-compromise speaker does.

My new book, No-Compromise Leadership, rolled off the presses in October 2008 to rave reviews, just in time to help guide leaders to achieving an authentic, profitable and meaningfully company and rewarding workplace. To help your company navigate these challenging economic times and rapidly evolving marketplace, this author, entrepreneur and CEO would love the opportunity to share his game-changing paradigm reset for business with your group.

No-Compromise Leadership is all about the thinking, behavior and accountability that support all leadership results and outcomes. Joined together, these two simple words immediately establish a higher standard of leadership thinking and behavior. They provide a powerful internal compass that keeps you and your company steadfastly on course. By design, no compromise cuts through the myriad excuses, emotional blockages and procrastination that silently infect leadership performance. When no compromise becomes your mandate - the guiding principle upon which all other leadership behavior emanates - the resulting business outcomes will be nothing short of breakthrough.

As a result of adapting no-compromise leadership, you'll:
· Experience a sharper, more focused sense of purpose
· Know what needs to be done - and get it done
· Tackle issues that you would ordinarily keep on the back burner where they fester and grow
· Be more decisive with your communication and how you relate to those you lead
· Make better decisions by focusing on details
· Lead your business, team or organization to great profitability and success

Neil customizes his keynotes and workshops to your group's needs, combining his keen insights into what tomorrow's leaders need to hear today in order to guide their business and team through the challenging marketplace. Neil combines humor with articulation and personal experience to produce a unique presentation style that captures and motivates his audiences.

Neil Ducoff is one of the key agents of positive change in business today. Empowering business owners and leaders with a solid understanding of cash flow addresses one of the major weaknesses of being in business today. Neil also promotes a leadership vision and service-operation set of technologies that help leaders gain better control of their business to dramatically improve their profitability. Neil is an inspiring educator and has built a solid team of coaches who deliver excellent content with a hands-on and highly individualized approach. A keynote or training session by Neil is a must!

It is rare, in this fast changing world, to laugh and learn at the same time. Neil Ducoff is the master of both. Audiences large and small are enlightened and entertained all at once. His presentations are clear, bright and to the point. He weaves his wisdom, collected throughout his successful career, into every presentation. Neil’s skill is in taking a process, be it cash-flow management, budgeting or day-to-day operations, and breaking it down into understandable, manageable segments which everyone can follow. The success lies in Neil’s delivery. Neil makes his presentations and seminars exciting and humorous. When you see your team enjoying a seminar and actually bringing back to the rest of the team what they have learned, you know you have found a recipe for success.
Joanne Domanski - Chief Financial Officer, Collega Aveda, Toronto, Canada

Over the last eight years or so, I have participated in a number of presentations by Neil Ducoff and his very professional team of educators. Neil’s unique “no-compromise” approach to presenting vital information, concepts and creative solutions is refreshing and inspiring compared to the often “sugar-coated” presentations. My colleagues and clients who attend Neil’s presentations are impressed with the dynamic style and scope of the information they receive. They especially appreciate the “take-away” applications and systems for immediate implementation. I highly recommend this energetic presenter.
Raffaela Caruso - Sr. Vice-President Operations and Finance, Collega International, Toronto, Canada

Our company has turned to Neil frequently to teach and inspire the insights that have defined his legendary career. Through his unique style, Neil draws the audience into his every thought and once there, he hammers home the ideas that he wants to resonate. Those ideas have generated a following of dedicated professionals who are passionate about the leadership behind all great success stories. The theme, supporting ideas and audience all come together to share and learn in an engaging discussion about the immutable laws of business according to Neil.
Bob Salem - Co-Founder, Profound Beauty, New York, NY

The team approach to management has never been more important than it is today. Neil’s out-of-the-box approach to compensation strategies, teamwork, employee involvement in goals and finances … keeps him at the top of my speaker list every year for our annual user group conferences.
John Harms - President/CEO, Harms Software Inc., Boonton, New Jersey

Neil’s presentations are truly compelling because he forces us to re-question how we do business. He gives pragmatic tools that are easy to implement. His presentations are dynamic because Neil is able to transmit his passion for business.
Vincent Lemieux - Brand Director, Kérastase Paris / Canada

What sets Neil apart from all speakers and trainers is his natural ability to deliver leadership and business concepts that truly inspire action and positive change. He checks his ego at the door and speaks from both his head and his heart. Neil’s passion to help others succeed is driven by his belief that every leader and business can achieve its full potential by focusing on and mastering the disciplines of business success. In my opinion, no one can help companies overcome today’s challenges and embrace change for the future better than Neil.
Peter J. Wright - Chief Operating Officer, Littleton Regional Hospital, Littleton, VT

What I love most about Neil’s presentations is that although he takes his material very seriously, he does not take himself too seriously. He has a gift for helping people take that good, hard look at their businesses. And once they see where they are lacking, they realize they’ve got the perfect coach in Neil to see them through.
Winn Claybaugh - Author, Co-Founder & Dean, Paul Mitchell Schools

For many years, I have had the opportunity to have Neil Ducoff as one of our business speakers at our events and shows. It is my opinion that if you attend one or more of his programs, as I have, you will never be disappointed! You will definitely leave with the understanding that your time was well spent. If I were to rate him, it would be A+.
Thomas E. Berger - Tom Berger & Associates, LLC., Phoenix, AZ

Like many other businesswomen, I have spent time in countless seminars. But my time spent with Neil Ducoff has been the most meaningful to my career. He has an incredible ability to explore issues, contribute real-life experience, involve the audience and create an environment of excitement and fun.
Jill Kohler - President/Founder, Kohler Academy, Phoenix, AZ

Neil brings to his audiences an acute sense of and love for good business, sharing with all how to make sense in their daily business lives. So much so, Raylon Corporation selected Neil for the 2005 Art of Business Award. Neil was chosen for his pioneering spirit in creating Strategies magazine and his unrelenting support of helping businesses achieve more profitable futures. His magazine, which began in 1994, is read by thousands of business leaders and is highly regarded as tops in its field for business innovation. Neil embodies the true spirit of The Art of Business Award.

Because of your leadership focus it might be fun to do one of my current media topics: "Think Like a Black Belt: Tough Times? Get Tough!" I'd highlight the qualities of Black Belt Leadership that translate directly to business in bad times, and good!

I think you'll find this very much in line with what you're teaching and of course we'll have a wonderful conversation.

Best thoughts,
Jim

Neil,

Thanks too much for the wonderful conversation on PowerPOD!

Our schedule slid a little due to a vicious adware attack on our main system; we'll have your episode up in a couple of weeks.

Thanks TOO MUCH for the book. For anyone stopping by here, Neil's "No-Compromise Leadership" is a MUST READ! This is top of the class!!!

Best thoughts,
