Thought of you when I discovered it earlier today; there are a couple of sizes that you can choose from. I have begun putting mine up on a few of my sites.
Hope your day is prosperous.

Wow, the first is too long ago to even be relevant (I was initially paid to represent others), but the more recent speeches about networking started with the easy audiences (Rotaries and networking groups). I've always found that one hand feeds another, so there are routinely people asking if you are available to speak to their group, too. That quickly leads to Chambers and Associations, etc. Of course, the balancing act is knowing when to migrate from practicing and honing (pro bono work) to getting paid.
I've also found it challenging to learn to say no to audiences who want your talents at no cost, but that just is part of a learning and growing process.
Summary is start, be prepared to change your approach and speech content, and keep going. As one of my good friends says, "I'll give the same speech to an audience of one or a thousand."
In this case, good things come to those who do!
Stopping by to wish you all the best for 2009, I look forward to hearing how your goals will become concrete.
I sense anything you put your hand to will be a success.
Cheers

I really appreciate all your activity and productivity. Thanks for being a community builder!
Your question to me could be the subject of a more involved (other members) discussion about audience feedback, tailoring to specific audiences, etc.
My comment specifically related to an group made up of mid to upper level employees (not high level executives) of larger corporations. Chambers, Associations, Direct Selling Organizations and networking groups are always clamoring for more information. But for those not used to networking, the same level of information can be overwhelming.
I got the "sucking from a fire hose" comment on a very positive review after my speech. It occurred to me that if a positive reviewer wrote that, others must have been overwhelmed, too.
When I thought about how to get the same information out (without so much passion or intensity) for people who don't yet understand, I came up with the Game Show.
It didn't take much to see how it could be used for all of the groups! Viola - it works!
Jim
PS - In case you are wondering, I'm invited back to the same group next year! :)
When I noticed that "drinking from the firehose" was too much for some in my audience, I decided to flip the presentation to involve and teach at the same time. The amazing thing is the level of participation and excitement- and I still get to make all of the same points!
The Game Show is a win-win, and different every time!
Thanks for your comments and interests.
Jim
I love "THINK, PLAN, EXECUTE!". When you do all of those, you can add "SUCCEED!" to your list.

The discussion includes an invitation to publicly post your one burning ambition for 2009.
