My Bio:
I am the Founder and President of Crimson Cup® Coffee & Tea, a specialty coffee roaster/retailer and teacher of coffee shop business success, with 2008 sales of $6.2 million. Based in Columbus, Ohio, I founded Crimson Cup® Coffee & Tea in 1991 to roast quality, great-tasting coffee and to teach businesses how to be successful in specialty coffee. A published author, I documented my passion for teaching others & my proven business philosophy in a book entitled Seven Steps to Success. This book provides the business template necessary to succeed in specialty coffee.

I am a member of the Rotary Club of Clintonville. I serve on the advisory board of The Ohio State University of Hospitality Management and the Initiative for Managing Services at The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.

Under my leadership, Crimson Cup has received many business and philanthropic awards:
Inc. 5000 - 2007
Business First Corporate Caring Award - multiple years
Business First Fast 50 - multiple years
Columbus Chamber Small Business Leader Award - 2007
Better Business Bureau (BBB) Integrity Award - 2006
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award - 2004

I hold a B.A. in economics from Harvard University, where I was a linebacker for the Crimson football team and a pitcher on the university’s baseball team. I currently reside in Columbus with my wife Laura and our three children: Caroline, Jack and Nick.
