Don, as a former coach, it's always interesting to hear commentary from those I admire. It's impressive that so many greats in the sport field offered their personal thoughts about you. Great credibility builder when such high caliber individuals saying good things about you. The only pressure I see is that you'd better be good on the platform after all those comments. (a little humor here).
Don, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.
After only six weeks, we have 1,600 members. That's good for all of us. The more speakers we have, the more event planners we’ll attract – the more opportunities for connecting more speakers with more audiences.
So, I’m wondering: How did you hear about SpeakerSite? Please send me a message.
Anyway, it’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word. Here are links to two pages that can help:
Also, you might need to finetune how much email you get from SpeakerSite. It takes a little work. Here is some advice on the issue.
Feel free to join (or start) Groups -- or put any question in the Forum area. (Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.) And feel free to contact me or Rob Emrich. We are here for you.
I am a four-time New York Times Best-selling author and spent the last decade as a senior writer and editor for Sports Illustrated magazine.
What I do best:
I am a story-teller...with a purpose. I take many of the lessons learned from great champions in sports and make them relevant to all of us.
I charge a fee of:
$5K-$10K
Some notes on how I charge for my services:
In response to the economic challenges faced by so many meeting planners today, we’ve rolled back our prices to the 2007 rate. For the calendar year 2009, the prices will be $4,500 for anywhere in Florida, $6,500 anywhere East of the Mississippi and $7,500 West of the Mississippi.

I haven't seen too many sports speakers on the site, yet almost every speaker (certainly the guys) uses sports analogies.
