My Bio:
Betty Murray, CN, HHC, RYT and founder of Living Well Dallas, is a board certified Nutritionist and Holistic Health Counselor through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Betty received her formal Certified Nutritionist Degree at American Health Sciences University and her Holistic Health Counseling certification training at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Betty has served as adjunct faculty as a student mentor this year with IIN.
Betty is active in bringing nutritional information to the community and is a member of the Dallas Medical society, National Association of Nutrition Professionals, The Weston A. Price Foundation, and Slow Foods. Betty has a thriving private health counseling practice and gives nutritional lectures at various centers throughout the DFW Metroplex and the US.
Through her education, she learned a natural approach to diet contrary to mainstream nutritional theory: That every BODY is different and that no single diet works for everybody - BIO-Individuality. From this foundation, she created a practice dedicated to enabling nutritional and lifestyle transformations!
What sets her apart from other speakers is her ability to convey scientific and emotional issues around natural medicine and eating into an easy to understand and enjoyable entertaining event. She focuses on holistic nutrition, integrating cutting-edge science and entertaining stories.
Betty’s private practice also encompasses other aspects of her clients’ lives that build the foundation for health. A person’s relationship with nutrition and food is affected by other factors that supersede the food. Our relationships, self-esteem, exercise, spirituality and career can be a catalyst for health or imbalance. Love, hugs, touch, kisses, warmth, massage, meditation, fun, freedom, self-expression, tears, play, nature, downtime, close friends, and a fulfilling career all feed our souls and our hunger for living. The more satisfying our life is, the less we'll depend on food to fill a void. Through these experiences she is well versed and having engaging off-the-cuff dialogue from an audience from the latest science to how to handle eating disorders.
What I do best:
Convey the latest science, nutrition and medical information in a fun and engaging format that is as entertaining as it is educational.
I charge a fee of:
$1-$500
Some notes on how I charge for my services:
I charge $400 an hour for local speaking engagements. If the engagement is a workshop event or breakout sessions over 3 hours, I have volume discounts.
If the engagement is out of town, the client will pay all travel, per diem and location expenses in addition to the speaker fee.

Betty, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.
Please take a moment to finetune how much email you get from SpeakerSite. If you work on this for a minute or two, you will avoid being notified too often about activity on SpeakerSite. Here is some advice on the issue.
With thousands of members, SpeakerSite is the largest social network for public speakers and event planners. Our substantial continuing growth is good for all of us. The more speakers and event planners we have, the more opportunities for connecting more speakers with more audiences.
So, I’m wondering: How did you hear about SpeakerSite? Please send me a message.
Anyway, it’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word. Here are links to two pages that can help:
2. How to Spread the Word About SpeakerSite. Would you please take a moment now to invite your friends? (You can use the "Invite" function in the main menu.)
Feel free to join (or start) Groups -- or put any question in the Forum area. (Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.) And feel free to contact me or Rob Emrich. As the co-founders of SpeakerSite, we are here for you.
