Profile Information

I am a:
Speaker
I speak about:
Creativity, Ethics/Integrity, Humor, Marketing
My Bio:
A Columbus native, Artie Isaac co-founded SpeakerSite (2008) and Young Isaac (1990). SpeakerSite is an online community of public speakers and event planners. An award-winning, creative marketing strategy and advertising agency, Young Isaac crafts messages that change behavior for trustworthy clients who offer momentous, life-changing products and services.

Artie Isaac is a sought-after teacher and public speaker. He teaches Personal Creativity and Innovation at The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business and Strategy, Creativity and Ethics in Marketing at the Columbus College of Art & Design. He has taught college writing and the history of advertising; and also ethics to seventh graders at Temple Israel.

Artie Isaac has done more community service than courts demand of white collar criminals. In addition to serving on corporate boards such as Angie's List, Artie is currently a trustee of the Haven of Hope Cancer Foundation. He is the founding president of the board of trustees of Available Light [Theater].

Artie Isaac started his career with agencies in New York, including Ogilvy & Mather. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Columbia, a BA in English Literature from Yale, and a high school diploma — and a varsity letter for cheerleading — from The Columbus Academy. Artie was the graduation class speaker for both his Columbia and Columbus Academy classes.

What I do best:
Here are Artie Isaac's four top presentations:
"Living A Creative Life" — a one- to three-hour presentation/workshop on how creative people discipline themselves for greater productivity. This can include interactive aspects (improvisational theatre skills training) and serve as a icebreaker for teams. Click here to see Artie speak on "Creativity During Hard Times" to the Columbus Metropolitan Club (Columbus, Ohio).

"Choosing Words" — a one-hour workshop on the ethics of speech for stronger teams and a simpler life. Click here to see Artie speak on "The Demise of Polite Conversation: Is Communication on the Brink?" to the Columbus Metropolitan Club (Columbus, Ohio).

"Why People Do — a one-hour presentation of consumer behavior theories that can be applied to any business or communications challenge

"Rainmakers" — a one- or two-hour presentation/workshop on building relationships for practice development, based on the real-life strategies and tactics of professional (legal, accounting, other) rainmakers

I charge a fee of:
$1500-$5K
Some notes on how I charge for my services:
One-third of the fee must be paid to hold a date. Full payment is required 30 days in advance:

$4,000 for up to 90 minutes in central Ohio; $1,500 for an additional hour.

$5,000 for up to 90 minutes elsewhere in Ohio. $1,500 for an additional hour.

Minimum of $6,000 for any engagement that requires a full day (including all travel). $2,000 for additional travel days (whole or partial).

Artie Isaac will speak once per month without charge for not-for-profit groups in Columbus during the weekday on the topic of "Choosing Words" (see above).

Artie asks: "Please do NOT give me a tangible gift -- however thoughtful -- for speaking. It's bad for my marriage to bring home stuff I'll never use. I already have a lifetime's supply of bow ties, beverage coasters covering every table, and more books than I will (alas) ever read. Please don't think me ungrateful, but I just don't want more stuff coming my way. It's bad for the environment."

"We loved Artie's presentation! He captured and inspired our sales force, and gave them a fresh new set of ideas to work with. Everyone I spoke with that attended said that Artie was fabulous, and that they would definitely use his suggestions and ideas. Our only regret is spending a brief one hour with him... we wanted more! Artie was a hit, and I highly recommend him."

— Keith Yun, State Auto Insurance Companies

"Artie spoke at a conference we held for 400 non-profit executives. His session was packed. Some of the attendees' comments are: 'Artie's presentation was great - he's dynamic and the enthusiasm he shows is contagious.' 'Artie's session was great, as expected.' Artie's session received the most positive comments. He is a talented professional whose work is well respected in our community. I was very pleased to have him involved in our conference."

— Debbie Beyer, Fifth Third Bank

"Artie is a dynamic, energetic and entertaining speaker. He left the group examining how they could improve what they had previously thought was a 'norm.' Artie not only delivered a very powerful message but did so in a way that engaged the audience! I will not pass up an opportunity to hear Artie speak!"

Rachel Mazur, CEO, DASCO Home Medical Equipment

"Artie was a motivational presence at our recent support staff conference. He introduced the group to concepts and ideas to help them live a more creative life. As a planner of the conference, I was elated at the response I got from the attendees on their enjoyment of Artie's presentation. He taught and entertained at the same time and really opened the minds of the attendees which set a positive tone for the rest of the conference. We were so glad to have Artie join us for this event!"

— Jamie Weiner has hired Artie for a Keynote address for The Ohio State University

"I have invited Artie to give a talk titled Rainmaking: How to Build Your Network and Your Career to attorneys, financial advisers and accountants. The original plan was for one presentation but it was so well received that I asked Artie back FOUR other times to packed rooms. He is an outstanding speaker and delivers a clear message using is great sense of humor and sharp wit. My audiences were truly captivated."

— Keith Schuss, Vice President-Wealth Management, Smith Barney

Artie gave a talk to the Columbus chapter of the American Marketing Association and was a tremendous success. Engaging, funny, and knowledgeable, Artie is everything anyone would want in a keynote speaker."

— Eric Ralph, President, American Marketing Association, Columbus Chapter

"Speaking to an audience of fifty young professionals from Columbus, Artie delivered a burst of creativity through his delightful presentation. The best way that I know how to describe Artie is that he is a wildly imaginative individual dedicated to eliminating boredom from this planet."

— Brad Fisher, Columbus Young Professionals

"Artie engaged our entrepreneurial audience from start to finish. He was able to surreptitiously inject some profound life lessons while educating the students on how to follow their passions when developing business concepts."

— Nikki Modlich has hired Artie to speak more than once at The Ohio State University

"Artie is an excellent speaker that graced us with his talents recently at one of our Nationwide 'Lunch n' Learn' events. He was very entertaining, made all of us laugh, and added a nice blend of seriousness to the event. I would recommend Artie to anyone in need of a great speaker."

— Scott Borack, Nationwide Insurance

"Artie's presentation to our corporate mentoring group was thought-provoking and entertaining. His insights into the philosophical underpinnings of creativity, and his down-to-earth suggestions for enhancing innovation skills, were both inspiring and practical. Hi Artie,
As discussed, I wasn't sure where to post my question. I put it in "Discussions." Was that the right place?
