My Bio:
Science fiction author, Ann Wilkes realized her dream thanks to the company she keeps. Ann stresses the importance of "plugging in to a group of people all striving for the same goal". With no formal training, Ann achieved her dream through practice with the help of writing groups, and by harnessing the power of the internet.
"The positive side of stubborn is determination," says Wilkes.
"Ms. Wilkes' wicked sense of humor and light prose suits the levity of the story--and leaves readers with a satisfied smile (or smirk) on their faces." The Book Smugglers on Awesome Lavratt
What I do best:
Topics include: Confessions of a network junkie, What clubbing can do for you, Control: the illusion, Ann Wilkes, Author of Awesome Lavratt, A conversation with SF author Ann Wilkes about speculative fiction today, I want to write for publication: Where do I start?
I charge a fee of:
$1-$500
Some notes on how I charge for my services:
My fees vary and can be offset by book sales for event and depend on distance from my (San Francisco) North Bay residence.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. My topics are quite specialized but they speak to me personally and I love sharing my experience and encouraging my target audience to reach for the impossible.
So great to connect with you here. How neat that you are also in the San Francisco Bay Area here. I look forward to our meeting in 2009. And thank you for letting me know about the opportunity to speak on Cancer which has so closely touched my life with the journey and death of my late husband.
HI Ann, I moved from San Rafael two years ago and my two sons still live in RP. Now live in the country in the greater Seattle area.I write non-fiction and non-fiction articles; however, I and one of my sons love Science Fiction. There is a great sci-fi museum in Seattle if ever you are around. Will check you site sap. Welcome.
Ann, welcome to SpeakerSite. I'm glad you're here.
After nearly four weeks, we have almost 1,000 members. That's good for all of us. The more speakers, the more event planners – the more opportunities for more audiences.
It’s good for you — and all of us — if your profile is great and if you help spread the word.
Feel free to join a Group -- or put any question in the Forum area. Of course, make sure your message is appropriate for the particular Forum discussion you‘re visiting.

That's also available on each blog and discussion.
It's a little painstaking at first. You have to pick and choose.
