Ian, let's keep our leaves in a single pile (small though that pile may be at our tender young age).

Here's the place to post (and read) our first success stories:
http://www.speakersite.com/forum/topics/speakersite-success-stories

Go to this Success Stories forum and you will see the first folks who have gotten referrals and gigs already on SpeakerSite.

Oh, and, friends, let's all focus on nourishing SpeakerSite. It's not yet three months old. It's growing up to become a good friend to all.

Hi Artie,

Thanks for the link to the "success stories". Like many others, I have referred them to this site as well. It's great to have such a resource. The question in my original post may have been misunderstood, I don't know. SpeakerSite is indeed "effective".

The basis of the question in the first instance, is, as with joining any online or offline resource, how effective is it in generating enquiries? SpeakerSite can be very effective, to the extent that we take it upon ourselves to:
#1: Promote it among our professional connections
#2: Include it as part of our email signatures with every email we send out
#3: As someone else mentioned, include the URL to either the site or our personal profile, on other websites we use for networking purposes.
#4: By making our personal profiles interesting enough for someone to be compelled to contact us!

Long live SpeakerSite.com!

Hi Coach

In my humble opinion, SpeakerSite's narrow niche is it's strength. Of all my online profiles, the two I leverage are Linkedin and SpeakerSite.

With the demands of business being what they are, keeping online profiles up to date is a challenge and this is my point. When a member has a clear objective they can leverage SpeakerSite with their other sites, in particular Linkedin.

I am a big picture person, so my strategy is long term, however in the short term visitors to my linkedin who are redirected to my SpeakerSite gain a clearer picture of my skill set.

Great headline Coach, you got my attention :-)
