[THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. A WINNER WAS SELECTED AND AWARD GRANTED.]
I've made two videos to promote
SpeakerSite. "
Dory" was to a dear sister and the "
Glimpse of Rob" was to dear you.
"They are not very professional," said Rob, gently, tactfully, generously.
"Oh, so now you're a movie critic?" I asked rhetorically, defensively, hurtedly. "Do you think
you can do better?"
"No, but I bet our members could do better," said Rob. "A lot better. We have some of the most expressive people in the world."
He's right, I know. You can do a lot better than I did.
And we would love to see what you can do.
SO HERE'S THE CONTEST:
If you make the video that is the top-rated video on
SpeakerSite, you will be -- for a month -- a Featured Speaker on
SpeakerSite (at no cost to you). And you will be a celebrated household name in a blog post. And I'll bet there will be more publicity that that.
Here are
The Simple Rules:
1. The winning video must promote
SpeakerSite.
2. The winning video must be rated G (for general audiences) or PG-13 (suitable for young people).
3. The winning video must have the highest raking (based on member votes using the SpeakerSite five-star video ratings) at 9 p.m. EST., Sunday, December 14, 2008.
4. Artie is not eligible. (Neither is Rob.)
5. The winner must allow
SpeakerSite to use the video in promotion, such as on Facebook and anywhere else.
6. The winning video must include only content that the winner is legally allowed to use. No stealin'.
If you have any questions, just post them below as comments.
Start now! The deadline is December 14th!
